Visitors to this site acknowledge that there are possible risks of bodily injury involved in the practice of martial arts and its related activities. The information on this site is presented simply as a resource for interested practitioners of the art of Shotokan karate. You may be injured if you apply or train in the techniques and drills that are presented on this site and neither Shotokansensei.com nor the author is responsible for any such injury that may result. It is essential that you consult a physician before engaging in any karate practice.
Much of the information on this site is based on the SKIF system of training, as lead by Master Hirokazu Kanazawa. However, any mistakes or misrepresentations of the SKIF syllabus content are purely those of the author. The author has trained extensively with Master Kanazawa in the SKIF system but does not claim in any way to be an expert in Shotokan karate. There is simply no substitute for training directly with Master Kanazawa and his instructors from SKIF General Headquarters in Tokyo, Japan. These instructors also hold many seminars worldwide and attendance at such events is highly recommended. The content on this site is simply a catalog of the author’s experiences and knowledge gained from his training in the art of karate since 1982.
Please check out the SKIF page on this site. There are several links to valuable resources that have been published by Master Kanazawa, that present the SKIF system in great detail.
